Job Summary

To provide technical expertise and support to local, remote office and field employees ensuring that their hardware and software is working in a manner that allows them to complete their daily tasks. Support mixed, heterogeneous environment of Windows, Linux and Mac Workstations in a diverse, highly-technical user environment.


  • Maintain inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades

  • Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring new equipment is installed and setup on schedule

  • Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization

  • Creating user accounts and managing access control based on company policies Maintain and update all appropriate documentation including current user procedures, training materials etc.

  • Prepare new customized builds for each employees in mixed Windows, MacOS &Linux environment

  • Must be able to accurately troubleshoot computer and peripheral problems over the telephone using remote support tools, in a professional manner.

  • Repair broken or defective laptops, printers or other hardware as required. Regularly update laptop images in order for all software to remain up to date.

  • Be a “team player”to ensure in-house project deadlines are met while being able to provide appropriate telephone coverage.

  • Run daily job processes and reports as required.

  • Support local &remote employees

  • Use technology support tools such as Microsoft SCCM and/or Remote Desktop


  • 5+ years of technical (help desk) support

  • 2+ years of Linux System Administration (Ubuntu &Redhat)

  • Technical certification (Microsoft MCP, A+, Network+ or equivalent)

  • Thorough knowledge of Windows 7 operating systems and MS Office 2000, 2003, 2007 &2010

  • Working knowledge of Mac OS systems and Apple technology

  • 1+ Years Hands-On Intermediate knowledge of Windows Networking (Active Directory, DHCP, DDNS, WINS)

  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independent of direct supervision

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software

  • Ability to work extended hours

  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Excellent verbal &written skills

  • Education Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 4+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
